In March 2020, like many people around the world, my entire life changed due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. And also like many people around the world, I decided it was the perfect time to get a dog. And so begins my story…

Hi, I’m Victoria. And let me start off by saying – I am not supposed to be here writing a blog!! If someone would have told me 2 years ago that a blog would be how I choose to spend my free time… Yeah, no. I have never been a writer or a “creative” type. I’m an introvert, and a boring engineer!! I don’t even really read blogs myself. So why are we here…??

Well, it all started with her.

On April 20, 2020, Todd and I welcomed the sweetest, fluffiest, and silliest little puppy into our lives. Farley – a female blue merle Australian Shepherd – with her sweet little mismatched eyes, quickly became the center of our world. We started bringing her along on our adventures, and taking photos and videos to document her life.

Fast-forward to the present day, and Farley has now captured the hearts of people across the globe. Over 80,000 people follow her adventures on instagram, she has gone viral on tiktok and gained over 160,000 followers thanks to her hilarious antics with door stoppers, and we have been fortunate to be able to start a profitable side-hustle through content creation and social media promotion as a pet influencer. And now, after the rollercoaster of the last two years, I suddenly find myself bursting with stories, ideas, information, and advice – and I want to share it!!

So, in a nutshell, that’s what this blog is going to be. A place where I can share information and stories about the things that I care about!! All centered around my life with Farley, of course. And I am making a commitment to you right now that a new blog post will go live every single Thursday for the entire year. I already have about 50 content ideas written down, and I’m so excited to start sharing them with you!! The topics range from photography tips, social media advice, dog gear reviews, pet-friendly travel ideas, and maybe even some behind-the-scenes bloopers and epic fails along the way. It may not be very organized, and it’s probably going to evolve over time, but no matter what it is going to be fun.
